EXPERIENCE AN ANIMAL EnKounter AND SOMETHING EKsotic THIS

SUMMER AT ENCHANTED KINGDOM

In celebration of Earth Day this April, Enchanted Kingdom (EK) brings to you its newest attraction which showcases a unique encounter with animals.

In partnership with Yupangco Group which brought you Zoobic Safari and Residence Inn, EK will feature “ZOORI’s ADVENTURE”, an interactive museum where guests, especially kids, can have a close “EnKounter” with mechanical white lions.

The attraction is divided into different chambers; a replica of colossal caves where guests will go through doors opening to other realms. Guests will also have the privilege to learn about the habitat of white lions and how they survive the wild.

Trapped doors with various surprises also await visitors.  Park goers can also check the bouncing room and try the different activities of lions such as pouncing, hopping, and jumping as they catch their prey like zebras, buffalos, and deer.

Expect to go through revolving tunnels, a hanging bridge and the swinging Tarzan zone as guests try to avoid falling into a pit of inflatable balls.

Witness natural calamities that occur in the forests and how the white lions battle these forces of nature in the typhoon room!

Aside from an “EnKounter” with the lions, “EKsotic” birds will also be housed at Enchanted Kingdom middle of April! Bird lovers will have the opportunity to enter the aviary and feed the winged creatures.  Get a chance to meet EK’s very own Tweeter.

According to Ms. Cynthia R. Mamon, EK’s VP for Sales and Marketing, “Here in Enchanted Kingdom, we believe that animals are very precious creations of God. ENCHANTED KINGDOM’S CYNTHIA R. MAMON WINS
IABC CEO EXCEL 2010 AWARD

Cynthia R. Mamon, Ph.D., Enchanted Kingdom’s (EK) Vice President for Sales, Marketing, Imagineering and Entertainment (SMILE) was recently honored with the prestigious CEO (Communications Excellence in Organizations) Excel 2010 Award by the IABC (International Association of Business Communicators).  Ms. Mamon was one of thirteen distinguished winners, cited for their effective use of communications to drive business success.  The awards night was held at the Bayanihan Hall, UNILAB compound, Pasig City.

“Providing fun is a serious business as we position Enchanted Kingdom as the happiest place in the country,” said Ms. Mamon.

Ms. Mamon became active in Enchanted Kingdom business operations in 2008. She immediately made impact by rebranding her assigned division from SMED (“frown” in the vernacular) to SMILE to remind EK’s stakeholders and cast members (a.k.a. employees) that the company’s mission is to provide magical experiences.
Notable accomplishments also include changing the theme park’s business model from relying much on walk-ins to focusing more on pre-booked corporate bookings and school tour groups. This new strategy was supported by recruiting new business partners from the travel & tourism sectors and reaching out to new focused markets such as OFWs and BPOs.

Ms. Mamon’s strategic and integrated marketing communications program put emphasis on brand management, effective use of advertising & promotions and tapping of new media channels.

Enchanted Kingdom regained top of mind awareness to the public and is again a byword synonymous to fun and magical experiences.
More importantly, with a new business model and the right amount of promotions and publicity, 2009 became a banner year for the country’s best and only world-class theme park. Sales revenue grew 33% higher than the previous year and park attendance increased by 20%.

“Enchanted Kingdom’s vision is to be the leader in wholesome family leisure and entertainment and be a tourist destination in the region. Paramount to making this vision a reality is leadership and the ability to communicate strategies effectively to all concerned,” added Ms. Mamon.

In her acceptance speech, Ms. Mamon declared that Jesus is her real CEO and that together with Mr. Mario Mamon, President & Chairman of Enchanted Kingdom, Inc., EK aspires to be God’s eternal kingdom on earth. They both believe that EK business is their ministry.

Ms. Mamon espouses servant leadership, stewardship and spirituality in the workplace.

“I am honored to be one of the recipients of the CEO Excel Award 2010, the recognition is not attributed to me alone, but to all our cast members who have helped us in providing magical experiences to all our guests,” she beamed.

Other honorees were: Amb. Jose E.B. Antonio of Century Properties, Inc., Ms. Charo Santos-Concio of ABS-CBN, Mr. Ernest Cu of Globe Telecom, Inc., Hon. Khalid Dimaporo of the government of Lanao del Norte, Hon. Madelaine Yorobe Alfelor Gamzen of Iriga City, Camarines Sur, Atty. Roberto Laurel of the Lyceum of the Philippines University, Ms. Regina Lopez of ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc., Mr. Guillermo Luchangco of ICCP Group of Companies, Ms. Gilda Pico of Land Bank of the Philippines, Mr. Alfonso Salcedo, Jr. of BPI Family Savings Bank, Ms. Carmela Tiango of GMA 7 Kapuso Foundation, Inc. and Ms. Rhodora Tumpalan of First Vita Plus Marketing Corp.

“As we share our faith to others, we do not have to do anything anymore. Our life is our message,” she shares.  She reiterated this during her acceptance speech, ending with two verses: “Those who believe in the Son of God have the testimony of God in them.” (1 John 5:10) and “Our lives are echoing the Master’s Word.  The news of our faith in God is out. We don’t even have to say anything anymore, our life is our message.” (1 Thessalonians 1:8)

Guests have another reason to visit Enchanted Kingdom as the country’s first and only world-class theme park opens its latest attraction, the Zorb Water Ball.

During the 1980’s, a sports club from Auckland, New Zealand was inspired by a hamster ball to construct a giant sphere with a gimbal arrangement supporting two deck chairs inside. Human spheres have been depicted in mass media since 1990 when a reality show first aired the idea in the form of steel balls.

In 1994, Dwane van der Sluis and Andrew Akers conceived the idea for a type of sphere in Auckland, New Zealand, calling their invention the "Zorb"

Also known as walk-on-water-ball or WOW ball, it is a double-sectioned plastic sphere about 2.5 meters in diameter that can carry a flat weight of 150 lbs. The said ball is made from super resilient material called thermoplastic polyurethane that allows a human occupant to travel on shallow water.

Most of the balls have straps to hold the rider in place, while Zorb balls leave its rider free to walk the sphere around or be tossed about freely at a secluded part of the Rio Grande Rapids near the Eldar’s tent at Spaceport Zone. For only P50, you can enjoy this unique experience for 5 minutes!

Come to Enchanted Kingdom where the magic stays with you! From now to January 3, 2010, we are open daily from 10AM to 12MN Fireworks Display at 10PM.
Enchanted Kingdom is located at the City of Santa Rosa, Laguna.
